AS-702B Normal and Precision Tracking modes
The AS-702B has a precision tracking mode
for instances where the voltage shift is very tight between on
hold and off hook; you need to use it if the AS-702B learns
fine and places the call on hold, but it won’t stop the hold
music when you pick the phone up.
How to tell if you are in precision tracking mode
Unplug the AS-702B from POWER. After
about 1 minute, plug the POWER back in WHILE YOU ARE
WATCHING THE LIGHTS on the AS-702B.
In NORMAL mode, the lights will flash
GREEN then OFF for 3 times.
In PRECISION TRACKING mode, the lights
will flash GREEN then RED for 3 times.
Changing between modes
The following process lets you change
back and forth between NORMAL and PRECISION TRACKING modes; it
is a toggle, do it once to enter PRECISION TRACKING mode, then
again to go back to NORMAL mode.
Push and HOLD
down the LEARN buttons on the AS-702B (it is best if you use
the eraser end of pencils for this); you can do them at the
same time or one at a time. After about 10 seconds, the
lights on the AS-702B will turn GREENISH-ORANGE, keep holding
the button down. After about 20 seconds, the lights will turn
SOLID GREEN; now you can release the buttons and the lights
will flash: GREEN/OFF 3 times for NORMAL mode or GREEN/RED 3
times for PRECISION TRACKING mode.
After changing
between modes, you need to clear the AS-702B memory and
re-learn your phones. To clear the memory, push and HOLD
down the LEARN buttons on the AS-702B (it is best if you use
the eraser end of pencils for this); you can do them at the
same time or one at a time. After about 10 seconds, the
lights on the AS-702B will turn GREENISH-ORANGE; now you can
release the buttons and re-learn the phones normally.
